Some Identity V characters have special abilities that help with decoding, healing, or distracting the hunter idv Survivors can heal each other if they get injured again teamwork and knowing the strengths of your Identity V character are crucial for surviving.
Opening the Exit
The survivors need to open one of the exit gates when all of the five Cyphers are Decoded it takes time so make sure to communicate to know of nearby idv Hunters.

Finding Survivors
You will have various tracking abilities as a idv Hunter which can be used to locate the Identity V Survivors on the map and when you locate them you need to chase them down and land hits to injure them
Rocket Chairs
You can carry the Survivor who is incapacitated to the rocket chair to banish them from the game, a Survivor is banished after 3 banishments.
Breaking Obstacles
You can break pallets and vault through windows to chase the idv Survivors.
Preventing Escape
If Identity V Survivors Decode Cyphers then Hunters need to prevent Survivors from opening the exit gate, using abilities to break their path and stop them from escaping.
